Our
Endowment Goal

The Helping Hands Society is halfway towards its goal of growing its Endowment to $1,000,000. To read more about this, please see our Leave a Legacy page. Your contributions can help accelerate our dream of creating a truly perpetual legacy for generations to come.

How We Choose Our Partners

Charitable organizations are selected through an intensive review process, overseen by the Chairman of the Grant Nominations committee. Every three years the Society begins the process of selecting three new charities to receive our 3-year grant of $5,000/yr. Members of the Grant Nominations committee include the officers of the Society, plus any additional committee members appointed by the President.

Who Can Nominate a Charity?

Any NAIFA-Greater Washington DC member who is also a currently contributing member of the Helping Hands Society (or a lifetime contributor of $5,000 or more, where membership in GWDC is not mandatory) can nominate a 501c3 organization. Nomination forms and supporting material are due by October 1.
